The wish of a young married couple was to create a cozy and warm interior for themselves and their two children.

Interior atmosphere and colour pallette
During the initial discussion, the clients told me they like muted earthy and neutral colors. They also wanted to incorporate olive green and muted pink /bedroom/ into the interior. When designing the color scheme, I was ultimately inspired by the palette of nature. I therefore chose a complementary terracotta. It’s a color that brings warmth, coziness and, in combination with green, creates an interesting contrast.
I considered the interior of the apartment as a whole, therefore colors, textures and various elements such as wooden panels were repeated in each room. Different shades of green were eventually used in all the rooms, including the children’s room.
Floor plan
The clients often like to cook. For this reason, instead of lower cabinets, we designed practical drawers equipped with a slow-reach. And since the clients are lovers of good wine, a built-in wine cooler and seating at the bar was another one of their wishes. The kitchen is custom-made by a carpenter. Materials used: MDF, Technistone worktop, Bosch appliances, decorative washable paint, which is used instead of backsplash behind the kitchen cabinets.
Use of decorative concrete and wooden panels
Another wish of the client was the use of decorative plaster with a concrete texture. In the living room I used a gray, coarser decorative plaster from Giolli, and in the bedroom a plaster with a satin finish, which creates a luxurious impression.
In almost all rooms, including the living room, bedroom and entrance area, I used another element that represents nature, namely Woodpasta wooden panels.
We loved working with Olina from Delicato Design and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an interior designer who brings creativity, but designs something that fits YOU and your style. Olina worked with us to create the design of our new apartment, while asking questions and really trying to understand our design preferences, but also our family dynamics and habits. From her first drawings we knew that we have made the right choice hiring her. She was also responsible for the execution of everything.
There was a postponement from the developers side for almost 9 months and she managed to coordinate all the third parties very smoothly due to this change. All along, she kept in touch with us through fast response emails as well as face to face consults. We are really happy with the flawless execution. Olina has really earned our respect and trust and we would definitely hire her again!
