How to fit in everything two school kids need into a small room with atypical dimensions? Is there a place for sleep, school work, play, storage, books and one more bed for a friend?
Thanks to the custom made furniture I managed to fit it all into a 20 sq.m. room with one slanted wall, heating next to the balcony door and under the small window.
The client’s requirements were to create a space for 2 single beds, 2 writing desks, a storage for toys, books and clothing, the 3rd foldable bed for occasional sleepovers and shelves for displaying Lego models as well as a playing zone.
I managed to accommodate all the desires. The furniture was custom made by a carpenter according to my specifications. I chose the color pallete of the room to be white, grey and dark blue. The handles were deliberately chosen in a mix of blue, yellow and white to bring in playfulness into the room.
Both mom and the boys were excited about their room makeover!
